Life At Mumbai!

I was not the most happiest among others when i came to know that i was going to be located to mumbai...the thought of leaving the place where u've been born n brought up was not all that amazing. But i knew i had to go!Saddest part being leaving home n family....

I started for Mumbai with tears in my eyes...but a ray of hope n excitement hidden smewhr inside! And Then a looooooooong train journey ...............

When i reached here the first thing i saw was lots n lots n lots of people all around...all hurrying up to go donno where!!!I was really happy to meet my sis and she had so much to tell me about how different life is in mumbai. On the very first day she took me to the railway station to see how locals run ..i had only heard abt it!But when i actually saw trains running continuosly on the tracks i went mad..i wondered how they maintained such an awesome network. However, the rush and sweat i saw on ppls face made me thank god that TCS provides office buses :P

I joined office and the first few days were like paid holidays during which we hardly went to office..those so called "on bench" time was cheerful and gave us time to know more abt mumbai.

The food ,no doubt is really really tasty and some of the malls i saw were mindblowing :)

Gradually,i got used to life here and started loving to travel in locals :) .Now with work (along with teas n coffees :P) has become quiet routine types.Bus is the place where i give work to my vocal cords :D !

Now i call it a city of opportnities and dreams .....or atleast a place worth living!!

Oh!! I am glad to know you have finally settled in the dream city as well as pained to know the price you are paying in the forms of all Dhakkas in locals. Anyway one has to go through several tests in his/her life before unlocking the door of success. I am sure you will make it BIG.

lol...i forgot to include abt ppl in mumbai!
People here dont mind even if its raining all the time :D..they behave as if it doesnt make any diference to them..they just open their umbrellas and start walking!
No one minds eating on the road..they keep eating while they walk..i used to find it little odd..but now even i do it :D
N no worries abt the dhakkas..they are all usd to it!
What i noticed is the ladies start shouting on each other with a little dhakka...guys have comparatively little extra sahanshakti ;)
But no matter what..u ask them for sme help and they are ready..
One gets easily adjusted here easily i feel!

I guess kisiko kuch jyaada hi dhakke khane pad rahe hain yahan ;)

Hi

Its gud to know about dhakka mukki in locals, rains in Mumbai and eating publically. I guess people (read women here) loses their temper for their inability to adjust with a little discomfort. If they find some gentlemen in other compartment they expect them to sacrifice their (valuable) seat to them but in ladies compartment you can hardly imagine anyone would be ready for such a sacrifice, so they start shouting… their frustration comes out in the form of dhakka mukkai.
